Vince & Sherryl | Cultural Center Civil Wedding

Filed under: Weddings — Maricel @ 9:19 pm

I was excited to shoot Vince & Sherryl’s civil wedding at the Cultural Center. Sherryl looked absolutely stunning, I absolutely loved her classic look with the birdcage veil. I loved how Sherryl coordinated her flowers with Vince’s tie and their dog, Maggie’s leash. Seriously cute family! Here are a few samples from their wedding.

Sam & Lena | Wilder Park Wedding

Filed under: Weddings — Maricel @ 12:19 pm

I have been looking forward to Sam & Lena’s wedding since their engagement 2 years ago. They booked me soon after they got engaged, I was just excited to be the first person they met with for their wedding plans! Sam’s sister, Anne, is a really good friend of mine and I absolutely adore their family. So shooting this wedding was great since I was able to spend some time with all of them.

We started the day with Lena getting ready at her parent’s home in Wheaton while Sam and his guys were getting ready at the hotel. Lena was a sight to see, she was absolutely stunning! After a few portraits at the house we headed over to Wilder Mansion for some more pictures. What a beautiful venue!

Here are some photos from their amazing day. Congratulation Sam & Lena…it was truly an honor photographing your wedding. Really.

Karla & John | Galena Wedding

Filed under: Weddings — Maricel @ 12:55 pm

Karla and John decided to have a small wedding in Galena after spending a long weekend there. I was very excited when Karla shared the change of plans with me, the last time I was in Galena was for my 8th grade field trip! It was such a beautiful day for a wedding, the weather was perfect. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the grounds of Chesnut Mountain Resort overlooking Galena’s beautiful scenery. Here are a few photos from their beautiful wedding!

Sue & Tim | Loyola University Wedding

Congratulations to my very good friend Sue and her new husband, Tim! Sue was probably the most relaxed bride I’ve ever worked with. Maybe after knowing her for over 20 years (YIKES!) I just thought she would be a bit more…well not Bridezilla, but antsy. I was probably more antsy than her, making sure we were on schedule. I look at my watch at least 10 times an hour, constantly providing a time check when we it is starting to look like we are running late.

We started the day at the Kim Sun Young salon in Niles where they did an amazing job on her hair and makeup. Sue looked absolutely stunning and was certainly glowing, that was just hair and makeup. Afterwards we headed to Loyola Campus to get ready for some photos and the ceremony. Tim looked handsome in his tuxedo, these two are a good looking couple! After a short ceremony, which ended with a bagpiper, we used the campus as a backdrop for their portraits. Their reception was held at Chateau Ritz in Niles, tastefully decorated in pink, along with the cutest cake topper I’ve ever seen, a Hello Kitty Lladro figurine.

Sue & Tim, thank you for letting me capture your day!
