Hoosier Grove Barn | Emma & Nathan

Filed under: Children — Maricel @ 9:25 pm

Emma and Nathan are the cutest! I grew up with their mom, Genni, who lived 5 houses down the street. They certainly remind me so much of their mom. Emma is a sweet little fashionista that recently turned 8 and Nathan is 3 with as much energy as two boys! He’s a ham with the cutest cheeks and dimple (yes, one domple…you’ll see)!

We went to Hoosier Grove Barn in Streamwood for their session. We were pretty lucky to have decent weather, it was mid-November and we had 65 degree weather. Here are a few of my faves from their session that day.

Starved Rock | Anthony – Almost Two

What can I say about this little guy? I mean, just look at that face! Anthony is my best friend Evelyn’s son. His photos do not do him justice….he’s got the funniest personality you can’t help but be mesmerized by him! When I first purchased my camera and started practicing portraits, he was one of my first subjects. Between my Nieces & Nephews, Delilah and him, I had plenty of models to photograph! It’s been a pleasure to pretty much document this little guy’s growth.

My brother and friends decided to visit Starved Rock for the first time, so I asked Evelyn if she wanted to take a drive out there and meet up with us. Wow, is this place amazing! Unfortunately, the recent heavy winds and lack of rain didn’t help the color of the leaves this year. No biggie, we still managed to enjoy the scenery, great company and weather. We walked a couple of trails and soaked in the scenery, it was breathtaking!

Here are a few photos from my session with Anthony that day.

Dean & CeCe | A Couple of Silly Siblings

Filed under: Chicago — Maricel @ 9:33 pm

Dean & CeCe were so much fun to photograph! Since it was a little chilly that day we decided to do a session in their beautiful home. The lighting was beautiful in there and we took full advantage of it. Dean, 15 months old, gave me a work out! He started off looking into my camera then became a bit shy. It was still so much fun to photograph him and his curly hair and beautiful eyes. His sister CeCe (5 years old, going on 13), on the other hand, was more than happy to pose for me. She was kind enough to change into her Halloween outfit, she was Jesse from Toy Story which was one of my favorite photos from that day. Thank you Emil and Missi for a wonderful session with your family!
