I’ve known Arleen for about 15 years now, met her at my best friend’s family parties. When my photography endeavors began she was always complimenting my work. I’ve deemed her to be one of my biggest fans and I am certainly grateful for her support. Last year she asked me to photograph her sister’s Graduation portraits from UIC College of Pharmacy and this year she referred me to a couple for their wedding photos. As a token of my appreciation, I asked her if she would like a quick mini session with her family.
We met on a hot sunny day (when wasn’t it hot this summer?) at Douglas Park on South Sacramento in Chicago. This structure is such a fun place to photograph, the shadows created by the columns creates so much interest and the light was amazing.
